Birthed from satirical ingenuity, Kitty Inu is bringing serious fun and innovation into the emerging play-and-earn (P&E) gaming and metaverse sectors of crypto.
At its core, the $kitty token is a native currency of an NFT-based, free-to-play (F2P), play-and-earn (P&E) racing game called KittyKart.
Disguised as a Shiba Inu, this Kitty meme coin is set on teaching an old doge some new tricks on and off the metaverse racetrack – all in fun, of course!
Inspiration Behind Kitty Inu
The team at Kitty Inu explains the inspiration behind their project:
“When Dogecoin was created in 2013, it was done so as a parody of the ‘serious’ clone coins that, while attempting to imitate Bitcoin, were also trying to differentiate themselves from one another.
The representation of Kitty Inu meme coin was designed to pay homage to the satire that inspired Dogecoin by poking fun at the very space it has since influenced – a space overrun with dog Inu’s attempting to duplicate the success of Doge, while trying to differentiate between one another, with hopes to cash in on the meme craze.
Hence, our adorable Kitty was costumed as a dog and labeled an Inu so that she may run incognito amongst the big dogs within the canine-dominated cryptosphere.”
Community Interoperability
The Kitty Inu project is all about inclusivity and building cross-community experiences. Not just with Doge, but all digital identities.
The Kitty Inu team expounds on their grand vision:
“In 2021, three major themes dominated conversations around cryptocurrency and blockchain technology: metaverse, NFTs, and meme coins. Our team was fascinated by the ability of NFTs and meme coins to foster strong communities in the digital realm. However, we were perplexed at the lack of projects focusing on between-community experiences.
In terms of community interoperability, our goal is to create a virtual space where people could assume their digital identities – whether you are Bored Ape #1234 or you are a Shiba Inu – and interact with one another in a fun and playful manner. Community interoperability is at the core of this project and we hope to inspire more projects to emphasize this concept at their core as well.”
Inclusive Fun
Kitty Inu’s main value proposition is inclusive fun. Inspired by the colorful and playfulness of Mario Kart and other games of that generation, KittyKart combines the skill of a first-person shooter with the excitement of a racing game.

Being built on the Ethereum blockchain, KittyKart will offer single and multiplayer options where players race karts to “mine” (or earn) NFT assets. Through continued gameplay, mined NFT assets are bestowed either skillset advantages or enhancements to visual appearance. Assets can also be purchased on the secondary market via the in-game marketplace using the native $kitty token.
