Give A Valentine’s Day Coin: Make Love

Give A Valentine’s Day Coin: Make Love

It won’t be long now until Valentine’s Day is here. And if you’ve been to a retail store lately, it would seem that Valentine’s Day actually arrived right after Christmas. Regardless, some people in relationships choose to give gifts to each other on Valentine’s. But gifting can become more challenging for couples who have been together for years. Have a look at these suggestions to spark some inspiration for your significant other’s Valentine’s Day gift this year.

First Things First

Before you rush to the store to buy something off the shelf, pause a moment. Have you listened to what your significant other has said they want? Some people come right out with it, telling you in specific detail what gift they’d like. Others? Not so much.

That’s where the subtle art of listening comes in. People tend to voice things they’d like in everyday conversations. It might be something like hoping to try out a new restaurant, or it could be a wish mentioned in passing for the latest and greatest grilling tool.

And as long as you’re intentionally listening to your partner, you’ll probably pick up on a few gift ideas. Jot them down somewhere to do your future self a favor. After all, there’ll be anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays coming up later in the year that call for a gift.

Gifts for People Who Have Everything

My husband and I tend to just buy what we need or want, rather than wait for a gift. It’s wonderful, but it does make for quite the challenge when it comes time to pick out a gift. (Which is generally why we skip gifts altogether, but that’s another topic.)

If your significant other seems to have everything, then focus on gifting them something consumable. Do they love a good bottle of wine or whiskey? Or perhaps they’re into seeing plays or other outings. In that case, finding something experiential to gift them is fantastic. It doesn’t take up space on a shelf and it’s an outing the two of you can both enjoy.

Make a Gift

Budgets are an important consideration when it comes to everything, including buying gifts. For couples on a budget, try a DIY Valentine’s Day gift. Put your hobbies and talents to good use here. Create a painting, a drawing, a woodworking project, a piece of pottery--whatever skills you have, make something with them. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Those without hobbies can simply make a list. Think of everything you love about your partner and write it all down. From there, simply gift them that list or jazz it up by writing each item on a Post-it note and arranging them into a heart shape on their bathroom mirror. Sometimes, it really is the littlest things that bring someone the most joy.

Give the Gift of Blockchain

If you’re really looking to wow your partner, go for something unique. For instance, you could gift them The Valentine Coin. This coin uses Ethereum blockchain, which is a name you may already be familiar with if you follow blockchain.

And this particular type of coin gets a bit of a romantic upgrade, which of course is ideal for Valentine’s Day. When you make a purchase, you’ll receive a numbered certificate. The certificates are only issued for Valentine’s Day, so it is a limited-time thing only.

Speaking of limited, they’re only selling 3,333 from now until Valentine’s Day. According to the website, the cost is .33 ETH. This gift of crypto just may be the perfect pick--it doesn’t take up space, it’s unique and it’s perfect for someone who is into blockchain and crypto. It’s even great for newbies who are curious about crypto but haven’t yet dipped their toe into the waters.

Enjoy Valentine’s Day

Once you have the perfect gift picked out or made, take time to enjoy Valentine’s Day. At the end of the day, it’s about showing the one you love just how much you love them.
